The Sovereign Spoon

If you want a dinner that's out of this world, you want to eat at The Sovereign Spoon. Just be forewarned, if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it.
— Tourist Guide to Baden
An upscale Baden restaurant with unique fare relying on an extensive list of ingredients from Janikk, The Sovereign Spoon's highly publicized close ties to the Mordena mercenaries only serve to increase its appeal.

Purpose / Function

The Sovereign Spoon serves as one of the most iconic upscale restaurants in Baden City, its menu well known for the inclusion of a variety of food items from Janikk. While these include anything from exotic spices and unusual vegetables to the rare and pricy roast gromdornis, they are best known for their multitude of fruit-based dishes.

Sensory & Appearance

The Sovereign Spoon prides itself on its bright warmth, with light furniture and white linens. The staff is friendly and the dining area well lit, overall reinforcing the cheerful and open atmosphere. Mirrors along the entryway wall help give the restaurant a larger feel than its already generous dining room.

Contents & Furnishings

A large latmaro, an exotic ornamental tree transplant led from Janikk, grows within the main dining room, its branches twisting and spreading toward the ceiling and the large glass dome at its center. The tables toward the middle of the room are positioned beneath its branches, which have been artfully strung with decorative lights to add to the brightness of the room.

Tourism

The Spoon is a popular destination for a wide variety of clientele, from affluent locals to visiting dignitaries to those who wish to claim they've eaten fare from the haunted homeworld of the Mordena. The restaurant's ties to the mercenary organization are well known, Mordena often frequenting the restaurant in exchange for assisting to stock the pantry, with a small table in the corner next to the kitchen permanently reserved for Jake Cartwright Lawrence himself.
