The Asset Program

The Asset Program, also known as TAP, serves as an incentive program to encourage those with critical skills to dedicate their talents, careers, and even lives to government service. The Program and its administration by the Ministry of Incorruption have earned frequent condemnation, both for the accrued wealth of its participants and its continued focus on the Incorruptible, but TAP's undisputed successes leave the Body of Consultants continues to advocate for its expansion.

History

TAP began as a Stipend Program for the welfare of the Immune identified by the Ministry of Incorruption. It was later expanded to include citizens with skills identified as critical to the Legion, extending the same privileges and requirements as imposed upon its original Incorruptible members.

Public Agenda

TAP proudly advertises its mission to support those performing valuable work for the Legion by handling their everyday needs. To those identified as Incorruptible, the Program adds additional assurances of improving their quality of life, for them and their loved ones.

Enrollment Requirements

Citizens must possess skills or knowledge coveted by the Legion to be considered for TAP. Anyone can submit an application for consideration, although the Program has also been known to reach out to desired candidates as well to offer them guaranteed placement.   Applications from the Immune are always accepted, a throwback to its origins and a recognition of the value the Incorruptible also provide to Legion society.

Participant Agreements

Those who enter the Program agree to become Assets of the Legion upon acceptance. This grants the Body of Government the ability to assign them work on the basis of what is most needed, taking into account their skillset and capabilities. Personal preferences are also considered, although this does not guarantee assignment.   Assets also waive many personal decisions, most notably those pertaining to medical care, to the Ministry of Incorruption. The Ministry will also take full control of a participant's education, particularly when the Asset is recruited as a child. Assets are permitted to further their education as they see fit, of course, provided the Ministry's educational requirements are fulfilled sufficiently first.

Program Benefits

In return for their service, Assets are provided with all the trappings of a comfortable life. The Program provides housing and housekeeping, meals, secure private transportation, security as deeped necessary, and customized education for their assigned role, in addition to a generous weekly stipend. Provided an individual continues to fulfill their obligations to the Program, these benefits are guaranteed for their entire lives, even after they are permitted to retire.

Enrollment Process

While citizens are welcome to apply for the program at any point in their lives regardless of age, enrollment is permanent upon acceptance. TAP therefore requires all participants to provide their personal consent in their own words, explaining their understanding of the Program's expectations upon them.   When enrolled as a child or dependant, many of the perks extend to caretakers and immediate family members, leading parents of Incorruptible children to enroll them at an early age. The Ministry therefore requires all applicants attain at least six years of age, and provide their reasons for enrollment without any family members or guardians present, in an effort to alleviate the worst of familial pressures and manipulations.

I think even at six there's no way they are not pressured by their family. :(
