Ride or Die
Ride or Die was a company known for its high risk, high reward tourist ventures, bringing adrenaline-fuelled adventures to areas of natural beauty all across the continent of Ilyana. Their most infamous venture, bungee jumping at Stag's Point Whirlpool, resulted in three deaths and started the company's inevitable decline towards bankruptcy.
Public Agenda
Ride or Die claimed to offer one-of-a-kind experiences to the adventure-minded.
It invested heavily in natural spots of beauty and wonder, creating infrastructure to allow tourists to visit these locations more easily. One example is that glass walkways were added above the Stag's Point Whirlpool to allow people to view it from above.
Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, the company was always mindful to keep their infrastructure as discreet as possible, so as not to detract from the draw of the location itself.
Disbandment
Following the death of a person who was sold a bungee-jumping experience at the Stag's Point Whirlpool, the company was banned from continuing to offer that particular service. As a result, many of their locations came under scrutiny for their somewhat lax safety procedures and, and cases of other fatal or near-fatal accidents in other areas were re-examined.
After a somewhat damning report from the investigating body, many of Ride or Die's locations cleaned up their act, bringing in new safety rules and closing some of their attractions altogether.
Unfortunately for the company, staff member's at Stag's Point Whirlpool continued to offer bungee-jumping experiences illegally, which resulted in the death of two more people. The company was heavily fined for this, and the staff members responsible were sent to prison.
This led to many people boycotting the company and to their filing for bankruptcy a year later.
It is rumoured that a similar company, known as Catch Your Breath, is actually Ride or Die trading under a new name. So far, no concrete evidence has been found linking the two.
