66S/58W - Morning
Dear Diary... So, my plans of talking to the Matchmakers didn't work out. The factory woke up again and they're - once again - very busy.
I feel like I should be excited for a new tank to be built, but... I'm really just worried it's gonna be another Kalgore or something! Or maybe he's just some sort of outlier... Who knows...
Speaking of that guy. After the factory's noise woke me up, I went to grab breakfast with Wren, as usual. But this time, it wasn't just the two of us. Kalgore was there too. His garage apparently is in some other part of the area, but there is only one fuel depot here. When I said "good morning", he just looked at me for a moment, but didn't say anything. While I and Wren grabbed our fuel, there was a really... uncomfortable silence the entire time. It felt so... awkward? The entire time, I felt like I should say something, but I didn't know what. Wren was completely silent, too. This is the first time I ever felt like that, I think. I didn't like it a bit.
Well, now we're done refueling and sitting outside the hangars, reading stuff. I got bored already so I'm recording this entry, I guess. Wren-
-what?
What's going on? Something... uh... Okay, this is really weird. I'll be back!
66S/58W - Midday
Sooo, Dear Diary, this world is a really odd place. Turns out that sometimes, water will just fall from the sky. And that is called "rain". Luckily it seems to be harmless for the most part! It really startled us. We hurried to the nearest Matchmaker we could find, which was Jericho - the huge heavy tank I've met before - and he assured us that the weird sky water won't hurt us. He did warn us about what it does to the ground, however. He said that we should avoid soft ground the best we can whenever it is raining or has rained. That it will get really muddy and our tracks will get stuck. And then someone can just come and kill us.
Then, he had to get back to work. Wren and I returned to the hangar, but we're inside now, since we don't want the books to get wet from the rain.
I'm kinda bored again. Wren recommended one of the books to me... It's about ballistics, so how shells behave and stuff, and probably the most mind-numbingly written text I've ever seen! Doesn't help that I'm still not that good at reading. I understand most of it and it has pictures, but it uses some really weird symbols that I'm not familiar with in many places.
Actually, I think I'll try a different book.
Here's one about... dying? I'm just skimming through it right now, but on every single page, it has a little story and a drawing of a tank dying... Hmm. I don't know if I like this book. Seems like some pages are missing, too? I wonder what happened to those. One of the stories is about... a lack of maintenance. Oh, that reminds me that my checkup is in two d-
Uh- huh? No. I'm not talking to myself! Yeah. No. Sorry, Wren. I'll keep it down.
