Special Abilities

The Young Sheep Dragon has the following special abilities:
  • Cloud Walker. The dragon can treat any cloud, fog, or mist as solid ground, allowing it to move and rest upon the sky itself.
  • Storm Veil. When the dragon is within heavy clouds or magical mist, it has resistance to all damage except force, psychic, and radiant.

  • Actions

    Multiattack. The Young Sheep Dragon makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its tail:

  • Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d10 + 7) piercing damage.
  • Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

  • Breath Weapons (Recharge 5-6)

    The Sheep Dragon uses one of the following breath weapons:

  • Minor Cloud Feast. The dragon exhales a thick, warm mist in a 30 ft. radius centered on itself, granting 1d12 temporary hit points to all creatures within range.
  • Sleepy Mist. The dragon exhales a lavender-scented fog in a 30 ft. cone. Creatures in the area must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or fall asleep for 1 minute. They wake up if they take damage or are shaken awake.
  • Woolen Gale. The dragon exhales a blast of enchanted wool fibers in a 30 ft. cone. Creatures in the area must make a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be restrained for 1 minute. A creature can make a Strength (Athletics) check on its turn to free itself.

  • Bonus Actions

    Young Sheep Dragon bonus actions:

  • Puff Up. The dragon fluffs up its wool, imposing disadvantage on the next melee attack made against it before the start of its next turn.
  • Drifting Glide. The dragon momentarily catches an updraft, moving up to 30 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.
  • Soothing Breeze. The dragon exhales a calming mist in a 10 ft. radius. One creature within the area regains 1d8 + 4 hit points and has advantage on its next Wisdom saving throw before the end of its next turn.

  • Reactions

    Young Sheep Dragon reactions:

  • Wool Shock. When hit by a melee attack, the dragon discharges static energy. The attacker must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 lightning damage and be unable to take reactions until the start of its next turn.
  • Storm Fur. When a creature within 5 feet of the dragon hits it with an attack, the dragon can unleash a burst of charged wool. The attacker must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be pushed 10 feet away.

  • Young Sheep Dragons are large, wool-covered dragons that float among the clouds, their soft fleece blending seamlessly into the sky. They are generally peaceful, preferring to sleep for extended periods, often curling up within thick cloud banks. Their horns are gently curved like those of a ram, and their wool remains light and fluffy unless they are disturbed—at which point it darkens like an approaching storm. Though often considered cute and harmless, these dragons possess powerful breath weapons and an innate influence over weather.
