Spellcasting. The arak'shee is a 5th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 13, +5 to hit with spell attacks). The arak'shee has the following bard spells prepared:

  • Cantrips (at will): Blade Ward, Friends, & Prestidigitation
  • 1st-Level (4 slots): Faerie Fire, Sleep, & Tasha's Hideous Laughter
  • 2nd-Level (3 slots): Calm Emotions, Enthrall, & Suggestion
  • 3rd-Level (2 slots): Enemies Abound, & Fast Friends


  • Shapechanger. The arak'shee can use its action to polymorph into a bird, or back into its true form, which is fey. Birds it can transform into include any beast with a fly speed, size Small or smaller, and below 1 CR, such as an eagle, falcon, owl, or raven. The arak'shee takes the statistics of its new avian form except for its type, alignment, hit points, and the ability scores for Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying melds into the avian form. It reverts to its true form if it dies.

    Lucky. If the arak'shee rolls a 1 on an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, it can reroll the die and must use the new roll.

    Sunlight Hypersensitivity. The arak'shee takes 5 (2d4) radiant damage when it starts its turn in sunlight. While in sunlight, it has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks.

    Actions

    Cursed Longbow. Ranged Melee Attack: +4 to hit, 150'/600' range, one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage. The target must also make a DC 14 Wisdom save or suffer a curse that gives them the frightened condition until the end of their next turn.

    Dagger. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, 5' reach or 20'/60' throw, one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage.

    Charming Kiss. The arak'shee kisses a creature that is willing, or a creature that is grappled by the arak'shee, incapacitated, or restrained. The target must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by the arak'shee. The creature is charmed for 1 hour or until the arak'shee does anything harmful to it. The charmed creature is friendly to the arak-shee, viewing it as a trusted ally. When the spell ends, the creature knows it was charmed.
