Targets caught inside the area must make a Dexterity saving throw against a DC12 or take 3d6 Acid damage and have their armor grade reduced by 1 until the end of the creature's next turn. Successful saves only take half damage. Roll a 1d6. The ability recharges when that 1d6 lands on a 5 or a 6.
Acid Cloud: The Esid-Daanav releases vaporized acid from its bodily vents in a 15 foot radius, centered on the creature. Targets caught inside the area must make a Dexterity saving throw against a DC12 or take 2d6 Acid damage and have their armor grade reduced by 1 until the end of the creature's next turn. Successful saves only take half damage. Roll a 1d6. The ability recharges when that 1d6 lands on a 5 or a 6.

Bonus Actions


Breach: The Esid-Daanav breaches the ground and deals 1d6 unmitigated bludgeoning damage in all adjacent spaces. Targets in the adjacent spaces must make a Dexterity saving throw against a DC of 12 or be pushed back and take damage.
Burrow: The Esid-Daanav burrows into the ground and collapses the tunnel behind itself without provoking opportunity attacks. This pushes back all targets in the vicinity and leaves a mound behind. While underground, the creature has the benefit of being obscured and has full cover.

The Esid-Daanav, as it is known in Khar-Kushak, is a blind, burrowing predator with multiple, armor-plated jaws. The creature is known to go after larger arthropods and produces an acid that inflicts chemical burns, weakening the chitinous shells of its prey. It is hypothesized that this creature mutated from some desert mole-like mammal, given its iridescent sheen on its fur and rather large burrowing claws. It is resistant to its own acids and other chemical compounds, and is capable of creating a jet of acid from glands in its mouth or jettisoning its own acid from evaporative vents on its body in a cloud around it. Its primary means of sensing its prey is through microscopic fibers inside its inner ear that pick up on nearby vibrations in both the ground and the air, allowing its senses to produce a very accurate location of anything close to it. Its secondary means of tracking prey are its incredible olfactory senses. Loud noises might make it very difficult for the creature to track opponents.
